Power BI Integrates with Safety Evolution, Power Your Analytics Engine!

How many hours have you spent tracking safety stats?

We were chatting the other day about the number of hours that we spent creating tracking sheets, counting paper, and manually entering the data into Excel.

Most companies focus on Lagging Indicators to determine how they are performing. To step it up another notch we can move into monitoring Leading Indicators

Leading indicators can tell your company if your team is participating in the safety program and is a good measure of the overall compliance of the team.

The leading indicators usually tracked include Safety Meetings, Hazard Assessments, Behavioural Observations, Training Sessions, Hazard Identification and the list goes on.

Most safety teams are tracking the number of each document completed. The total number of documents divided by hours worked or workers is calculated to determine if they are meeting their target KPIs.

The problem for most teams is the time that it takes to track, trend, and share this data.

How do you find tools to help your team make use of the information that you are gathering?

Excel is a great place to capture the stats but what do you do with them?

Here at Safety Evolution, we decided to integrate Microsoft Power Bi into our Safety Management Software because we believe that the future of safety is in knowing what is happening in real-time.

Let our Co-Founder David Brennan, show you how excited he gets about data and Microsoft Power Bi as he chats about how you can start putting your data to work.

We looked at all the Leading and Lagging Indicators that we could be capturing and thought we could be so much better if we had a way to capture this information.

Imagine being able to compare which at-risk behaviours and safe behaviours are happening. While being able to check if the time of day, day of the week, or even the month played a factor in what was happening at your business.

Being able to dig into the details was what drove us to embed Microsoft Power Bi into the Safety Evolution system.

You can use the pre-built dashboards we have in the system.

You can also have custom reports built that you embed in your Microsoft Teams or Microsoft environment.
