The OSHA 30-Hour General Industry course is designed for all those who require training regarding any and all topics provided throughout this course. It is a certificate/card-level training requiring 30 hours and four days of work. Individuals who will specifically benefit from this course include the following:

  • General Industry workers, including those in warehousing and manufacturing
  • Managers and supervisors in the General Industry sector

  • Understand fall protection, fire prevention, electrical safety, the nature of bloodborne pathogens and how to prevent risk and minimize exposure, ergonomics, and more.
  • Know the difference between confined spaces and permit required confined spaces.
  • Know the three elements of a Process Safety Management System (PSM) and how it can help prevent catastrophic incidents when working with and around hazardous chemicals.
  • Know Identify proper machine guarding, as well as how to prevent potential injuries.
  • Know the best practices when working with scaffolding, as well as requirements for erecting, assessing, and dismantling scaffolds. Furthermore, participants will understand hoists, slings, and aerial lifts.
  • Understand the importance of preventative measures and risk mitigation processes as they pertain to heat stress and illnesses.

All course participants must complete the full course to receive a valid U.S. DOL OSHA 30-Hour Card. Participants must achieve a score of 70%. Every participant must complete the 30-hour course within 180 days of the start date. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a course completion certificate. In general, DOL/OSHA 30-Hour Cards arrive within two weeks after completion of your course.
